Carol Clayman

President

Carol got her start in the production industry at the tender age of 11, the study of which she continued to pursue throughout her schooling. Eventually, she earned a degree in Communications with a minor in International Studies from the University of South Florida in 2012. Currently, Carol supports the SVP of Marketing + Creative at NBCUniversal’s internal creative agency. She is excited to be a part of OMB as it involves two of her passions: theater and working with children. Carol also is a fitness enthusiast who loves to practice yoga, boxing, and anything cardio-heavy. You can find her eating her way through the city and petting every dog that walks by her on the street..

Brian Mason

Treasurer

Brian is an investment professional based in NY. Previously, he worked within strategy and operations for some of the largest healthcare companies in the nation. He started as an entrepreneur in the toy industry and was one of the youngest referees ever certified by US Soccer. Brian is dedicated to affecting positive change in healthcare, especially for marginalized communities and has a passion for inspiring youth through storytelling. Constantly looking for ways to leave his comfort zone, you can find him hiking, traveling, talking to strangers and occasionally skydiving.

Sophie Glassman

Sophie is very excited to be a member of OMB's NY Junior Board! She graduated from NYU Tisch in 2021 with a BFA in Drama and a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. She is focused heavily on ensuring all children have access to the magic of theater. Sophie works at The Araca Group both in the production of new musicals and merchandising for live events, and teaches yoga and strength training at Corepower Yoga all around NYC.

Kristina Mullen

Kristina is thrilled to be a member of Only Make Believe's NY Junior Board. Kristina is a management consultant at PwC within the firm's Healthcare Transformation and Technology practice, specializing in provider operations and revenue cycle management. She graduated summa cum laude in from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021 with a BA in Economics and Health and Societies, concentrating her studies on Healthcare Management and minoring in French and Francophone studies. Growing up with family members suffering from chronic illness, Kristina has witnessed firsthand the power of arts and cultural programming for pediatric patients undergoing extended or frequent hospital stays. As a lifelong musical theatre lover, Only Make Believe's mission perfectly blends Kristina's passions, and she is eager to help spread the magic of theatre to those who need it most. Kristina loves spending time with her sisters, long coffee walks in Central Park with friends, practicing her French, and entering the Broadway ticket lottery.

Katy Newton

Katy is a former theater kid and life-long arts enthusiast. She graduated with a double major in English and Drama from Ithaca College in 2014. After spending the first five years of her fundraising career in the fine art world at the Whitney and Guggenheim museums in New York, she now manages corporate partnerships for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières USA. A chronic illness warrior who spent much of her childhood in the hospital, she is elated to join OMB's Junior Board and share her passion for the healing power of performance to inspire the next generation of artists.

Amanda Lambert

Vice President

Amanda is thrilled to be a part of the Only Make Believe Junior Board! Currently a finance professional working in NYC, Amanda graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 2019 with a degree in Psychology. She is passionate about the positive effects that joy and imagination can have on health and wellness and looks forward to bringing her excitement to the OMB’s Junior Board.

Kate Acker

Kate is so excited to be part of the OMB Junior Board! Originally from California, Kate has volunteered at OMB since 2013, including serving as a OMB Buddy. She has more than 10 years of experience in sales, project management, executive administration, and event planning, across a variety of industries including Biotech, Financial Services, Entertainment and Non-Profits. In her spare time, you can find her at the theater, of course, checking out the newest musical or enjoying everything else that NYC has to offer!

Jessica Jones

Secretary

Jessica is a financial services legal analyst and former theater kid. She graduated cum laude from Trinity College (CT) in 2021 with a degree in American Studies, where her research focused on disabilities and their relationship with the entertainment industry. She began her career in the finance at Neuberger Berman, and then went on to her current firm, Angelo Gordon. Jessica is thrilled to be part of OMB, as it is a true intersection of her personal passions and academic interests. In her free time, Jessica is an avid squash player, cinephile, and non-profit volunteer!

Victoria Augello

Victoria is a private equity analyst and lover of the arts. She graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University with a degree in Finance and Business Analytics Information Technology. While in undergrad, Victoria served as the VP of Community Service for her school’s chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honors society, where she led and organized community service outreaches. Victoria is very excited to be a part of the OMB NY Junior Board, as advocating, supporting, and bringing joy to those who need care the most is a true passion of hers.

Kartik Naram

Kartik is an attorney and lifelong theater-lover based in NYC. Originally from Rhode Island, Kartik graduated from Vassar College, where he won the Marilyn Swartz Seven Playwriting Award, and later from NYU Law School. He now litigates complex commercial and antitrust matters before trial and appellate courts. Kartik has also written plays produced in New York City, Vassar College, and Providence, R.I. He is thrilled to join OMB’s Junior Board and to help advance the organization’s inspiring mission.

Matthew Thornburg

Matthew Thornburg is an estate planning attorney at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP with an emphasis on nonprofit law and charitable planning. He graduated from Michigan State University in 2016 and the University of Michigan Law School in 2019 (though he remains an avid Spartan fan). Matt is passionate about working with nonprofits in NYC and has been involved with OMB since 2021 through providing pro bono legal assistance. Now, Matt is excited to join OMB as a member of its Junior Board. On the weekends you can find him running throughout the boroughs and enjoying all that the city has to offer.
